Atlanta Bicycle Coalition Fall Fundraiser 2019
November 14 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
We invite you to attend the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s Fall Fundraiser to help us secure safe streets in our beloved city.
We are experiencing a breaking point in Atlanta’s mobility landscape. As people flock to the city by the thousands, Atlanta is fertile ground for transportation options that reduce gridlock, enhance communities, and provide access to opportunity.
For 28 years, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition has significantly enhanced mobility in Atlanta by advocating for a more connected network of bikeways and other infrastructure improvements that support a thriving city.
Now is the time to align our collective goals and build safe streets like the one picture below. Let’s co-create a safer, more equitable, and more appealing city.
By gathering at MET Atlanta, we’ll be in the heart of an area long home to a thriving creative scene. We’ll also be in the center of Atlanta’s High-Injury Network, two-thirds of whose streets are in Southwest Atlanta. Streets in the High Injury Network account for the majority of severe injury and fatal crashes in the city. Unsafe streets cut off access to opportunity, especially for people who rely on transit, foot, bikes, or scooters, and penalize communities even further that have already shown great resilience in the face of challenge.
The program features music, thought-provoking ideas about how we can get there from here, and networking with members of Atlanta’s business, tech and innovation, government, and development fields.
Your contribution will help us secure the transformation of Atlanta’s streets into safe, inclusive, and thriving spaces.
